The World Song Contest 7 was the seventh edition of the World Song Contest. The contest took place in Rome, Italy, after the Laura Pausini's win with the song "Surrender".

Twelve countries participated and New Zealand withdrew from the competition. The winner was Chile with the song "Trampa de Cristal" by Daniela Castillo scoring 84 points. The runner-up was the host country Italy, and the third place was for Spain for third time in the history of the contest.
